Touring UK 8th to 18th May 2014
Tumbling Bones is a trio of young men inspired by old music. They play a mix of original compositions and traditional material drawing on bluegrass, pre-war folk, and a bit of the contemporary rock ‘n’ roll the guys were reared on. In their three short years as a band these road warriors have sung on street corners and stages across the United States and Ireland. Their debut album Risk Not Your Soul cracked the top 10 on the Roots Music Report’s folk radio chart. In the winter of 2013 they were chosen as finalists to participate in the prestigious American Musicians Abroad program, a U.S. State Department-funded program that sends 10 American bands overseas every year to perform and lead music workshops for children. The band currently resides in Maine, the most northeasterly U.S. state, known for its pristine wilderness, extensive coastline, and rich maritime culture. This past September they spent a week in a farmhouse deep in the Maine woods to record their first album of mostly original songs, scheduled for release in March 2014.
Tumbling Bones first visited Europe on a tour of Ireland in summer of 2012. They will be returning to the Emerald Isle for the third time this April, followed by their debut appearances in Germany at the Buehl Bluegrass Festival May 2nd and 3rd and Britain for ten dates in May.
